Dave Couture - Dave began learning to dance ballroom in 1991.  In 1999, he began assissting his instructor and, in 2004, he began teaching.  In 2007, Dave enrolled in the Smooth Quarter of the Midwest Ballroom Dance Teachers Academy.  Dave found the abundance of reference material and the insights on teaching to be most beneficial to his skills as an instructor.  He also enjoyed the open-minded, in-depth discussions on advanced theory and practice in which the Master Instructor was willing to engage.  Dave has found his posture and leading abilities improve dramatically over the course of the four quarters and would recommend this path of study to anyone interested in becoming a better dancer and instructor.  Dave currently teaches in Decatur, IN and Fort Wayne, IN.

Bill Wemhoff  - Bill was first persuaded into taking ballroom lessons by his wife in 2001 and, as Bill puts it, "It turned out to be the best thing that she ever did for me!  I couldn't learn fast enough so we ended up taking 2 or 3 lessons per week."  In 2005, Bill began assissting his instrutor at her studio.  He had always been motivated to become a better teacher so, in 2008, Bill enrolled in the Rhythm 1 Quarter of the Midwest Ballroom Dance Teachers Academy.  He found the detailed breakdown (Theory) of each step within a figure to be an invaluable addition to his skills as a dance instructor.  He currently teaches in Decatur, IN and Van Wert, OH.

Brandy Scott-Springer - Brandy has been teaching Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Lyrical for many years.  She enjoyed what little ballroom training she had previously and decided to get in-depth knowledge by enrolling in the Midwest Ballroom Dance Teachers Academy.  Brandy benefitted from the detailed yet fast-moving instrcuction and appreciated the Master Instructor's willingness to stop and review in order to ensure understanding.  Brandy says this class made her focus on thinking about moving each part of her body separately and the importance of dance frame to both leading and following.  Brandy currently teaches in Bluffton, IN.

Nedra Steury - Nedra has been dancing for eight years and was one of the first to participate in this training program.  When asked what she liked about the class, she said, "I appreciate the Master Instructor's ability to pick out seemingly minor errors that, as a result of their being fixed, cause the entire dance to work better.  I'm beginning to understand that this ability comes with the detailed knowledge of ballroom movement which this class supplies.  I would recommend this type of training to all teachers...regardless of their experience."

David Spencer - David began dancing in the Fall of 2006 in New York.  In 2007, he enrolled in the MBDTA after moving to Fort Wayne and attending a few lessons and the local USA Dance chapter's monthly dance.  David benefited from learning about musicality and the Music Theory associated with teaching ballroom dancing.  He also enjoyed the thorough exploration and explanation of the syllabus figures (Theory) and the many tips provided to participants to make their dancing look and feel better.  David especially enjoyed learning both Leader's and Follower's parts.  In particular, he found the most benefit in learning to lead from an experienced male instructor.  "This," he says, "has done the most
                                  to improve my dancing."

Julie Woodbridge - Julie danced various disciplines in college.  After graduation, she discovered Ballroom and decided she wanted to teach.  She enrolled in the MBDTA in 2008 and is currently studying for her Smooth license exam with in March 2010.

John Johnson - John has, as he puts it, been dancing for quite some time.  He enrolled in the MBDTA to get a more detailed knowledge of the ballroom technique so he can perform more consistently.  He enjoyed the detailed information and the repetition involved in learning the figures and breaking them down to their individual parts.  This repetition and detail helped him gain control of his dancing.  John's leading has improved dramatically from learning both Leader's and Follower's roles.
